The Gift Of Encouragement How to give and accept positive words of attention

About Philip Riggs

Hi, it’s Philip Riggs here.

I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself, and the question you are probably asking: "Who is Philip Riggs?"

I’m a guy who wants people to develop a happier inner life and better relationships through positive interactions and communication.

You see, I’ve struggled with self-confidence and self-esteem all my life. It wasn’t until I discovered the underlying causes that I was finally able to get beyond my problems.

After I discovered the underlying causes, I went searching for answers on how best to build my confidence … and raise the confidence of those around me.

Imagine what the world could be like if people were committed to helping each other become liberated and committed to encouraging each other to be happy. Muriel James, "It’s Never Too Late To Be Happy"

I found the ways we communicate with ourselves and our family, friends, and coworkers were a root problem. Let me explain …

The four kinds of communication and how it affects our relationships

Four types of communication dominate our conversations. And we can choose which one to use.

Here are the four kinds of communication …

Positive conditional
Praising someone for something they did.
Negative conditional
Criticizing someone for something they did.
Positive unconditional
Praising someone just just being alive.
Negative unconditional
Criticizing someone for just being alive.

Once you learn the correct times to give each type of communication message, you’ll be on your way to being a Master Encourager.

I’ve witnessed the transformation to Master Encourager in my own life as I’ve learned to encourage my children, wife, friends, and coworkers. In fact, after just a few months of learning and practicing these techniques, my boss told me in a meeting what a positive motivating person I had become.

And she considered that very valuable.

I hope you learn and use the techniques I teach to transform your own life and find new value in who you are and what you contribute to other people’s lives.

And so much faster than I did, because you have me to help you, every step of the way.

I look forward to hearing about every step you take and every success (I know you will be successful!)
